Developing Images

Poetry is the frustrated quick-
sketch of fidgeting subject; the animal
sometimes too feral, sometimes too
shy. Graphite smudges paper
and hand. Light leaks, or a
ghost? Sounds align like letters on
ouija boards – before blur and
blank are filled with lies,
from the shadows: a cry.
